Established in 1873, Kirkcaldy Rugby Football Club is based in the town's Beveridge Park. Over the years the club's facilities there have gradually been improved and now include a full match floodlighting system as well as a floodlit training area. The club runs three senior sides, playing in appropriate leagues, a full junior programme from mini teams at Under 7 level to Under 18s. Older players are also catered in an Over 35 side, the Zingari, which plays a limited number of fixtures each year, ending in an overseas tour. Kirkcaldy were one of the first clubs in Scotland to form a Ladies playing section and since its formation in 1994 has won its share of honours, including having several players capped by Scotland.
