NURFC represents Newcastle University every Wednesday during the Season. The Club is one of the best university clubs in the country with our 1st XV playing in the BUCS Premier North Division, finishing 3rd in 2010. NURFC runs 4 sides that compete on the BUCS circuit with an additional 5th side competing against teams within the University whom also play on a Wednesday
The Club is based within the City of Newcastle and plays matches at Cochrane Park next to the large Sainsbury’s in Newcastle. The Club has a strong tradition and wants to become one of the powerhouses of University Rugby, recently appointing its first full time Director of Rugby: Tom Wilkinson.
All support is encouraged and always very welcome. Food and drink is always provided in our club house where you will be sure to find some of our past members mixing with some boozy students.
