The Wolfpack 7’s are a charity rugby team established in 2009 to provide awareness, support and raise finances for charity. The team play in 7’s rugby tournaments around the country, ranging from tournaments such as the National 7s Series Circuit to Bournemouth 7’s (the largest 7’s tournament in Europe) and other tournaments such as the Winsor & Lightwater 7’s each season.
Founded by Richie Tulloch, a London Wasps & England Academy player, he established the Wolfpack 7s rugby team as a focal point for the sporting community. Inspired by other teams who focus on single charities, Richie wanted to help a range of charities that may not be as well-known, thus assisting their acknowledgement and support. As to this, each 7s season (year) the Wolfpack 7s will chose a charity that they wish to represent. The Wolfpack 7s slogan represents the culture and drive of all involved as it is fittingly; “Part Of The Pack.”
High profile rugby players that have stated their interest are; Dan Hipkiss (Leicester Tigers, England & Lions), Chris Cracknell (England 7s), Andy Titterell (Leeds, England & Lions) and Oriol Ripol (Sale Sharks & Spain). Furthermore, Olly Barkley & Dom Waldouck have agreed to become Wolfpack 7s Ambassadors, representing and supporting us throughout with Andy Titterell (Leeds, England & Lions) to be our strength and conditioning coach.
Charity for 10/11 Season
The Wolfpack 7s look to support our new charity, the Henry Fraser Trust (link to www.henryfraser.org), having represented the Muscular Dystrophy Q Trust last season. The trust formed when Henry who is a very talented teenager had an accident in 2009 whilst on holiday with his friends. He ran into the sea, dived into the surf and damaged his spinal cord leaving him unable to move his arms or legs. Henry was a part of the Saracens rugby Academy prior to having his career cut short. He is currently fighting in rehabilitation and represents a beacon of hope to others who face the same challenges.
